How We Review Casinos
Last updated: —
Every casino on JuzCasino goes through the same testing process before it’s rated. We don’t summarize a casino’s marketing page — we register, deposit, play, and request a withdrawal ourselves, the way a player actually would.
This page explains exactly what we check, how a final rating is calculated, and what disqualifies a casino from a positive review outright.
Step by Step
Our Review Process
Research the operator and licence
We identify who operates the casino, which licence(s) it holds, and check the licensing authority’s own register where one is publicly available.
Verify available bonuses and terms
We read the full bonus terms — not the promotional summary — including wagering requirements, maximum cashout limits, game weighting, and expiry conditions.
Test registration and KYC
We create a real account and go through the actual verification flow, noting what documents are requested and how the process feels in practice.
Check available payment methods
We confirm which deposit and withdrawal methods actually work for the region we’re testing, including any minimums, maximums, or fees not listed upfront.
Evaluate deposits and withdrawals where possible
We make a genuine deposit and, where possible, request a withdrawal — logging processing time, any friction, and whether the amount received matched what was requested.
Assess games and software
We check game variety, providers, and whether the software runs reliably, including on slower connections.
Test customer support
We contact support with a real question and record response time, channel availability, and whether the answer was actually useful.
Assess mobile usability
We test the site or app on mobile — registration, deposits, and gameplay — since most of our readers play on a phone.
Record findings and update when things change
We publish what we found with a last-tested date, and recheck the review when we’re notified of — or notice — a material change.
The Rating
How a Final Score Is Calculated
Every casino is scored across eight weighted categories. The categories that affect a player’s money and safety most directly carry the most weight.
Weightings apply to the overall editorial score. A severe issue in any single category — particularly licensing or withdrawals — can cap the overall rating regardless of how well a casino scores elsewhere; see Automatic Disqualifiers below.
What the Number Means
Rating Scale
Automatic Disqualifiers
Some findings override the scoring rubric entirely. If we find any of the following during testing, the casino will not receive a standard positive review, regardless of how it scores elsewhere:
Where we find these issues, we publish what we found and explain why we’re not recommending the casino, rather than omitting it or defaulting to generic promotional language.
Accountability
Who Does the Testing
Every review is researched, tested, and written by our editorial team — see who’s behind JuzCasino for background on the people responsible for what’s published. Commercial partnerships and sponsored placements never influence a rating; see our full Advertising & Editorial Policy for how that separation is maintained.
Think a review is out of date or missed something? Tell us and we’ll recheck it.

JuzCasino
Author and Review Lead
I lead JuzCasino's casino review process and have worked across iGaming content, casino reviews and affiliate operations for 8+ years.
For each review, I check the bonus terms, payment rules, KYC process, responsible gambling tools, product coverage, operator details and hands-on test results. The goal is simple: show the facts a player should know before depositing.
